E.C LEMENSE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mário Leme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mário Leme struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Percival Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for E.C LEMENSE. Mário Leme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Percival Gaúcho managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when E.C LEMENSE's Tiago Leite fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 30 played minutes Armacao FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Brasil. Nildo Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Armacao FC's Cafu Oliveira got a free kick in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Armacao FC's zone, Mário Leme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percival Gaúcho came out of the goal and Mário Leme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiago Leite in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Percival Gaúcho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tiago Leite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nildo Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jefferson Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Mário Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Gaúcho having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiago Leite to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Cafu Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nildo Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nildo Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute, Tiago Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Armacao FC's Roger Valle got a free kick in the 59th minute. Nildo Travassos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Zanette in the 63rd minute. Mário Leme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Percival Gaúcho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Armacao FC's Roger Valle shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 71st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Nildo Travassos but with some difficulty. Tiago Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Percival Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, E.C LEMENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Sena to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute of the match Gil Chaves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Percival Gaúcho skillfully saved the ball. The E.C LEMENSE fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when E.C LEMENSE's Mário Leme looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Percival Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Leme in the 94th minute of play forced Armacao FC's goalkeeper Percival Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. E.C LEMENSE had played much better football throughout.
