The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oséas Cunha was the one to do the kick off. When Didi Carioca fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Murillo Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Zé Tavares's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Juninho Coutinho on his right side and into the goal. 98 minutes into the game it was 2-1. Papacaio's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Banda EC had won, even though Papacaio had held more of the ball.
