Sílvio Luís Leite came out of the goal and Baltazar Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guga Abraão was the one to do the kick off. Baltazar Nóbrega's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Sílvio Luís Leite skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Putiri's Sílvio Luís Leite got control of the ball when Baltazar Nóbrega tried to sneak it across the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Baltazar Nóbrega got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Rogério Mangueira fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Putiri's protests and gave Rogério Mangueira a yellow card for diving instead. If Guga Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristóvão Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match.
