Spectators: 7203 (Terracing: 5404, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) Claudinho Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matías Magalhães in the 3rd minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Eusébio Vinhas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Claudinho Esteves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Taubate defense, Matías Magalhães kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinho Esteves. The Taubate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinho Esteves should have stopped the shot. Claudinho Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Matías Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tomé Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. A collision led to Maquine getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. William Souto hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Meirelles in the 29th minute of play forced Taubate's goalkeeper Claudinho Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Maquine's Francisco Meirelles got a free kick in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Maquine's zone, Vitinho de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Lopez came out of the goal and Vitinho de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Meirelles took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudinho Esteves. Claudinho Esteves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 40th minute, Eusébio Vinhas made a precise shot to the right of Claudinho Esteves. Taubate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. 47 minutes into the match, Maquine's goal looked a bit too open when Tomé Godoi came free, but Amadeu Lopez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Tomé Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lino Montenegro during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 58 played minutes Maquine got a freekick which was hit by Lino Montenegro. Taubate's Ezequiel Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Taubate's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Eusébio Vinhas scored to the left of an out of position Claudinho Esteves, making the score, 0-6. In the 75th minute, Taubate's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lino Montenegro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 77th minute, Eusébio Vinhas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maquine fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Taubate's Tomé Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. William Souto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claudinho Esteves. Taubate's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Claudinho Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Magalhães in the 90th minute of play. Hernani Vargas's late challenge caught a Maquine's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hernani Vargas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute Tomé Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Maquine walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
