Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Maurinho Lopes made the kick off and thus started the match. After some careless play in the Itaperiu defense, Jeremias Matos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sílvio Luiz Alagoano. The Itaperiu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sílvio Luiz Alagoano should have stopped the shot. Horácio Freire charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horácio Freire the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Horácio Freire hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Sílvio Luiz Alagoano made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Basílio Rezende sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th minute Igor Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz de Godoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Itaperiu's Ronaldinho Zanette got a free kick in the 13th minute. Sílvio Luiz Alagoano came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Rucas SC's Maurinho Lopes. But to his dismay, Maurinho Lopes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Rucas SC's Sílvio Luiz de Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Fonseca in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match Ronaldinho Zanette shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Luiz de Godoy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Rucas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Freire came free, but Sílvio Luiz de Godoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Maurinho Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Horácio Freire ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sílvio Luiz de Godoy was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Sílvio Luiz de Godoy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcel de Amaral's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Rucas SC's Sílvio Luiz de Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Gaúcho in the 41st minute of play. Marcel de Amaral hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júlio Vale in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sílvio Luiz Alagoano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vágner Gaúcho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rucas SC's Sílvio Luiz de Godoy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Rucas SC from getting a goal against them. Sílvio Luiz de Godoy came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Itaperiu's Vágner Gaúcho. But to his dismay, Vágner Gaúcho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Sílvio Luiz de Godoy made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Marcel de Amaral sent off a good shot on target. Ronaldinho Zanette hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The supporters of Rucas SC booed when Itaperiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sílvio Luiz de Godoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vágner Gaúcho in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Cléber Ribeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rucas SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itaperiu the free kick. Horácio Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz de Godoy having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 75 minutes into the game, when André Hermes put in a rough tackle. In the 78th minute Maurinho Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Luiz Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho Lopes in the 79th minute of the match. Júlio Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz Alagoano having to interfere. After 83 played minutes Itaperiu got a freekick which was hit by Allan de Alcântara. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Maurinho Lopes sped through Itaperiu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sílvio Luiz Alagoano. 88 minutes into the match, Itaperiu's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Vale came free, but Sílvio Luiz Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Horácio Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rucas SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Itaperiu for a fine match.
