Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Paulo José Garcia took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Jano Camargo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mazinho Palmeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tião Reis came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Corimbata's Arí Amaral. But to his dismay, Arí Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Avaí Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Paulo José Garcia scored to the left of an out of position Tião Reis, making the score, 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ademar Veiga in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mazinho Palmeira saved Corimbata from getting behind. Eriberto Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Mazinho Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute Paulo José Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tião Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Telmo Paranaense took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mazinho Palmeira. Corimbata's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Ademar Veiga made a precise shot to the right of Mazinho Palmeira. Corimbata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 36thth minute of the game Ademar Veiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corimbata's Mazinho Palmeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arí Amaral struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Tião Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corimbata. Tião Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Garcia in the 44th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Erik Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Laércio Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Arí Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tião Reis having to interfere. If Arí Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Avaí Futebol Clube defense, Arí Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tião Reis. The Avaí Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tião Reis should have stopped the shot. During the 71st minute of the match Jano Camargo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jano Camargo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ademar Veiga in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mazinho Palmeira saved Corimbata from getting behind. Paulo José Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corimbata's Laércio Penha got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Laércio Penha struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Tião Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corimbata. Laércio Penha hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Avaí Futebol Clube's Erik Melo tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Ademar Veiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mazinho Palmeira was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Arí Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Tião Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the game, Corimbata's Laércio Penha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tião Reis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. The supporters of Avaí Futebol Clube booed when Corimbata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Avaí Futebol Clube's Jano Saraiva got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Corimbata's zone, Ademar Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mazinho Palmeira came out of the goal and Ademar Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corimbata were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Avaí Futebol Clube for a fine match.
