After 11 played minutes Gravataí United FC got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Carvalho. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Paulo de Lara got free with Moisés Nogueira in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the match, Iaurare's goalkeeper Moisés Nogueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Paulo de Lara. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toninho Castro in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Chaves saved Gravataí United FC from getting behind. The supporters of Iaurare booed when Gravataí United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardinho de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Iaurare fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 29 minutes, Gravataí United FC's João Paulo de Lara got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Moisés Nogueira. After some careless play in the Iaurare defense, Guga Bezerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Moisés Nogueira. The Iaurare fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Moisés Nogueira should have stopped the shot. Murillo Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Iaurare's Dráusio Marquez couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 37th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gravataí United FC. In the 40th minute, Pedrinho Galvão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Betão Koehler fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iaurare's protests and gave Betão Koehler a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had been going on for 50 minutes, Gravataí United FC's João Paulo de Lara got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Moisés Nogueira. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Willian Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 59 minutes of play, Iaurare's Pedrinho Galvão made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Chaves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iaurare were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Gravataí United FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dráusio Marquez took the corner. Iaurare's Pedrinho Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Iaurare booed when Gravataí United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murillo Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Paulo de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Moisés Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gravataí United FC made a substitution. Dráuzio Vianna replaced Ricardinho de Almeida. 81 minutes into the game, Iaurare's Pedrinho Galvão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Chaves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Iaurare's Moisés Nogueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo de Lara in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Américo Trigo in the 89th minute of play forced Iaurare's goalkeeper Moisés Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Gravataí United FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Iaurare's performance. The match ended with a win for Iaurare.
