In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind BarnabeFC's goalkeeper Valdo Netto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Alexsandro Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Silva Matador Futebol's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexsandro Quintal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdo Netto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sílvio Luís Castro made a kick off. In the 59th minute Guilherme Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Acácio de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Alexsandro Quintal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Valdo Netto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
