Spectators: 7303 (Terracing: 5478, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 145) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Giuseppe Lara made the kick off which started today's match. Serafim Jacinto took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armandinho Loyola. Armandinho Loyola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 10thth minute of the game Cléber Freire who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cruzeiro MG's Adnan Baler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Giuseppe Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erivaldo Mumbach blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armandinho Loyola having to make a save. After 20 played minutes, Crasto's Nilmar Coutinho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adnan Baler came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Crasto reached it. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro MG's Geovani Galvão got a free kick in the 24th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cléber Freire in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adnan Baler saved Cruzeiro MG from getting behind. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Crasto's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Thiago Esteves was slow to take the kick. During this time Cruzeiro MG's players had a chance to rest. Cruzeiro MG's Thiago Esteves was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Armandinho Loyola in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Luizão Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crasto's supporters rose to their feet, but Luizão Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adnan Baler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, Crasto's goalkeeper Armandinho Loyola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giuseppe Lara. After 33 played minutes Cruzeiro MG got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Galvão. In the 34thth minute of the game Cléber Freire who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cruzeiro MG's Adnan Baler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Samuel Paulista sped through Cruzeiro MG's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adnan Baler. Samuel Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adnan Baler having to interfere. When Cléber Freire came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Crasto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléber Freire couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Samuel Paulista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 54 played minutes Cruzeiro MG got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Jacinto. In the 55th minute Cléber Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adnan Baler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giuseppe Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Armandinho Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armandinho Loyola came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro MG's Giuseppe Lara. But to his dismay, Giuseppe Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Eliézer de Medeiros lost his temper 63 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 62 minutes into the game, one of Crasto:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Cruzeiro MG a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thiago Esteves, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Crasto's Armandinho Loyola. 3-1. Samuel Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Adrianinho da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Armandinho Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armandinho Loyola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giuseppe Lara's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute, Giuseppe Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giuseppe Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho Loyola having to interfere. Luizão Toledo's late challenge caught a Cruzeiro MG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luizão Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cruzeiro MG booed when Crasto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizão Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
