Esconso's Antônio Carlos Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Esconso from getting a goal against them. The long shot by Nilton Secco in the 12th minute really tested Antônio Carlos Medeiros's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 14thth minute of the game Percy Catarinense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maropolis AD's Filipe Montenegro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tadeu Bittencourt hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Tadeu Bittencourt charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Víktor Cearense in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Antônio Carlos Medeiros, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Esconso's Antônio Carlos Medeiros got control of the ball when Víktor Cearense tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Percy Catarinense to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Percy Catarinense in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filipe Montenegro saved Maropolis AD from getting behind. After 54 minutes of play Maropolis AD's Tadeu Bittencourt was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Valdo Correia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 56th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Joel de Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Filipe Montenegro made a huge save. Fernandão da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Esconso's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valdo Correia in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Víktor Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maropolis AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Víktor Cearense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antônio Carlos Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gonçalo de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Montenegro having to interfere. Filipe Montenegro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel de Azevedo went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Víktor Cearense took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antônio Carlos Medeiros. Antônio Carlos Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 81st minute, Gonçalo de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimir Mangueira's late challenge caught a Esconso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimir Mangueira helped the player get up and apologised. Vladimir Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Esconso's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 84th minute of the game, when Anselmo Valle after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Maropolis AD's goal. Anselmo Valle was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. In the 85th minute, Willian Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Percy Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Montenegro having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Esconso players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Maropolis AD.
