Queimado SS's Michel Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Carioca in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to Queimado SS getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Gustavo Arce hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Percy Tinoco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simão de Senna. Tapaiuna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Percy Tinoco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Percy Tinoco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 16th playminute. Nelsinho Zilles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Michel Dante. Queimado SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Queimado SS's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Gaúcho came free, but Michel Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michel Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tapaiuna's Sebastião Mesquita suffered a sore thigh after 40 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Jarbas Favoretto's late challenge caught a Tapaiuna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jarbas Favoretto helped the player get up and apologised. Jarbas Favoretto hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After having played for 45 minutes, Percy Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Queimado SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percy Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvério Gaúcho to strike the kick off in the second half. Silvério Gaúcho came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Michel Dante could save by the left post. 54 minutes into the match, Queimado SS's goalkeeper Michel Dante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvério Gaúcho. In the 56th play minute Silvério Gaúcho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Michel Dante. 2-3. With his leg Michel Dante managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Tapaiuna's Silvério Gaúcho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Queimado SS's Michel Dante got control of the ball when Silvério Gaúcho tried to sneak it across the goal line. João Augusto Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Queimado SS's goalkeeper Michel Dante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvério Gaúcho. Simão de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percy Tinoco in the 85th minute of the match. If Percy Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 minutes of play, Tapaiuna's Silvério Gaúcho made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michel Dante was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jeferson Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tapaiuna walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
