Christian Rosado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Raí de Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Brinco SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raí de Godoi couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Hermínio do Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raí de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Rosado having to interfere. Raí de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Christian Rosado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Rosado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermínio do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Brinco SC's Víktor Tinoco was substituted for Hermínio do Vale. In the 32nd match minute, Náutico Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Coelho to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raí de Godoi in the 36th minute of play forced Náutico Reds's goalkeeper Christian Rosado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The tension between the Brinco SC and the Náutico Reds players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Brinco SC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Víktor Tinoco hit a great ball. Christian Rosado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Víktor Tinoco went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Raí de Godoi made the kick off in the second half. Brinco SC's Raí de Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raí de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Rosado having to interfere. Glauco de Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brinco SC's Betinho Sanches was substituted for Glauco de Queiroz. The supporters of Brinco SC booed when Náutico Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válter Netto didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Josué Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Víktor Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Christian Rosado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Víktor Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Rosado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Víktor Tinoco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christian Rosado. That made the score 0-7 in the 84 minute of play. Renato Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Rosado having to interfere. Betinho Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
