Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Arrojado's Ricardo Pontes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ricardo Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 11th minute, Joel Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germano Pimenta charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Germano Pimenta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Glauco Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Veiga in the 16th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Yan Barral in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Arrojado's Arlindo Cardozo. In the 21st minute, Pedro Goiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adriano Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ariquemes FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Adriano Veiga hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Arrojado's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Veiga came free, but Glauco Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Glauco Severo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Goiano went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Adriano Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ariquemes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adriano Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Glauco Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Telmo Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After 44 played minutes Arrojado got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Koehler. Ariquemes FC's Pedro Goiano took a good shot, in the 44th minute, which hit the crossbar above Glauco Severo's head, and flew over the goal. Arrojado's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Ariquemes FC. If Adriano Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Adriano Veiga made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Pedro Goiano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Glauco Severo. That made the score 0-2 in the 51 minute of play. Beto Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute, José Vítor Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ariquemes FC's Adriano Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ricardo Pontes fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arrojado's protests and gave Ricardo Pontes a yellow card for diving instead. Ricardo Pontes hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arrojado's goalkeeper Glauco Severo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Goiano in the 77th minute of play forced Arrojado's goalkeeper Glauco Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Goiano spun around in front of the goal 77 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Arrojado's goal. In the 80th minute, Pedro Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Goiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Adriano Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Arrojado lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
