After some careless play in the corithian defense, Frank Cardozo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Décio Moreno. The corithian fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Décio Moreno should have stopped the shot. Décio Moreno stood somewhat misplaced when Sonny Dahlman came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 40 minute. Leonel Seco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olavo Cavalcante went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sonny Dahlman made a kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Frank Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Indianopolis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Cardozo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, corithian's goal looked a bit too open when Sonny Dahlman came free, but Décio Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57th play minutes Frank Cardozo shot 5-1, a short shot which went by Décio Moreno and just under the crossbar into goal. Décio Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elder Pinho in the 62nd minute of the match. Falcão Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Frank Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Augusto Hoffmann notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Indianopolis's Leonel Seco. Leonel Seco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Reginaldo Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Moreno having to interfere.
