Spectators: 6662 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Júnior Soares took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Luiz Gustavo Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 9 in the game by Diogo Macedo from a close distance when the talented Fred Baptista managed to make a qualified save. Tapa FC's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júnior Soares in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fred Baptista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Júnior Soares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fred Baptista came out and tried to block the shot, but Júnior Soares slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. Diogo Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Baptista having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Diogo Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luzelia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Diogo Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fred Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jonas Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Júnior Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diogo Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Baptista having to interfere. In the 34th minute Júnior Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diogo Macedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fred Baptista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diogo Macedo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Pedro Augusto Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonas Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diogo Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Baptista having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When Júnior Soares came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Luzelia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júnior Soares couldn't finish the play. Diogo Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Tapa FC booed when Luzelia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renato Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Toledo in the 59th minute of play. Júnior Soares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fred Baptista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Tapa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doni Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. Natã Valadares took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fred Baptista. Tapa FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Macedo in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fred Baptista saved Tapa FC from getting behind. In the 77th minute, Diogo Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Augusto Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Renato Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Júnior Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Tapa FC's zone, Diogo Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred Baptista came out of the goal and Diogo Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Júnior Soares struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Fred Baptista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luzelia FC. In the 88th minute, Cauã de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Luzelia FC booed when Tapa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Tapa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Hermes came free, but Fred Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Luiz Gustavo Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Luzelia FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tapa FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
