Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Túlio Freire took the kick off in the first half of the match. Virgílio Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Túlio Freire in the 7th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Túlio Freire in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgílio Mota saved Cangica FC from getting behind. Eliézer Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Virgílio Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Túlio Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. In the 25th match minute, Cangica FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Luz to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Cangica FC's Virgílio Mota got control of the ball when Túlio Freire tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jano Palmeira hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Cangica FC's Paulo José Aparecido in action when he in the 35th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Virgílio Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Cangica FC's Virgílio Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Freire in the 43rd minute of play. Raí Berger scored 1-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cássio Mangueira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murillo Luz was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Juacelense's zone, Murillo Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cássio Mangueira came out of the goal and Murillo Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd minute, Túlio Freire left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Juacelense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Túlio Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Virgílio Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Juacelense's Túlio Freire in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cangica FC's goalie prevented a goal. Juacelense's Cássio Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Vargas in the 65th minute of play. Túlio Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgílio Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elano Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cássio Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murillo Luz in the 73rd minute of play. Elano Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgílio Mota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Túlio Freire's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Eurico Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 minutes of play, Juacelense's Eliézer Travassos made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Virgílio Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Durval Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Juacelense booed when Cangica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murillo Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute Eurico Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgílio Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Túlio Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgílio Mota having to interfere. Durval Gerber took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgílio Mota. Virgílio Mota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1.
