Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nico Arce started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in CRUZEIRO's zone, Nico Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Secco came out of the goal and Nico Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Corrêa hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Severino Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Secco having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nico Arce in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frank Secco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. CRUZEIRO's Frank Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico Arce in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Aparaju SC's goal looked a bit too open when William do Vale came free, but Genílson Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Nico Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Severino Pombal came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Aparaju SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Pombal couldn't finish the play. Severino Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Frank Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nico Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Nico Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, Severino Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aparaju SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Pombal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tiago Carvalho shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After having played for 41 minutes, William do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CRUZEIRO's supporters crossed their fingers, but William do Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and William do Vale made a kick off. With a little luck, CRUZEIRO's Frank Secco got control of the ball when Severino Pombal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 61 minutes, Nico Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aparaju SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th match minute, Aparaju SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Barreto to maneuver through the defense. Frank Secco made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Severino Pombal sent off a good shot on target. Nico Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, CRUZEIRO's Daniel Corrêa got a free kick in the 75th minute. Frank Secco made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Severino Pombal sent off a good shot on target. After 78 played minutes Aparaju SC got a freekick which was hit by Léo Eger. Frank Secco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 88th minute Nico Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th match minute, CRUZEIRO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Aparaju SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Victor Barreto in the 91st minute. Frank Secco was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Nico Arce capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nico Arce really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. 95 minutes into the game, one of CRUZEIRO:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Victor Barreto walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After 97 minutes, Victor Barreto made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. CRUZEIRO's Frank Secco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aparaju SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
