The supporters of Abandonados FC booed when Aparaju SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aparaju SC's Genílson Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Sousa in the 14th minute of play. Ezequiel Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson Recife having to interfere. Nico Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Sousa in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Genílson Recife prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Gustavo Porto fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aparaju SC's protests and gave Gustavo Porto a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Aparaju SC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Porto. After a rather tough play, Aparaju SC's Hortêncio Pimenta got a free kick in the 34th minute. Gilbert Marud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico Arce in the 37th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Gilbert Marud successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Abandonados FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rafael Sousa in the 49th minute. It was a well-played corner which Gerson de Medeiros managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.

Abandonados FC's Douglas Barral got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Aparaju SC's Victor Barreto got a free kick in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Aparaju SC's zone, Rafael Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genílson Recife came out of the goal and Rafael Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafael Sousa succeeded in the game's 68th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Erik Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Abandonados FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nico Arce came free, but Gilbert Marud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Douglas Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson Recife having to interfere. Flávio Queiroz's late challenge caught a Abandonados FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flávio Queiroz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Aparaju SC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Flávio Queiroz hit a great ball. Abandonados FC played a much better game than Aparaju SC and deserved their victory. The Aparaju SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
