An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredão Prestes in the 3rd minute of play forced Hades United FC's goalkeeper João Adolfo Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurinho Mattos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victor Amaral having to make a save. The supporters of Gugulets F.C booed when Hades United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurinho Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 39 minutes, Víktor Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gugulets F.C and the Hades United FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alfredão Prestes's late challenge caught a Hades United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredão Prestes helped the player get up and apologised. After the first half Gugulets F.C were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maurinho Mattos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Maurinho Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurinho Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nuno Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to Gugulets F.C getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Alfredão Prestes hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurinho Mattos in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Amaral saved Gugulets F.C from getting behind. After 76 played minutes Hades United FC got a freekick which was hit by Gunvald Thesbøl. If Fabrício Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Gugulets F.C's Márcio Marquez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Adolfo Pernambucano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Betinho Reis got a throw-in 89 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Fabrício Leal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gugulets F.C had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
