Spectators: 7053 (Terracing: 5353, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 100) Terrorverde's Sydney Mesquita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sydney Mesquita might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nilton Vasconcelos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sydney Mesquita ran back to his position shaking his head. Norberto Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nilton Vasconcelos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Los Dragons's goalkeeper Nilton Vasconcelos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cauã Melo. In the 14th minute Davi de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sydney Mesquita in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilton Vasconcelos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Terrorverde's Sydney Mesquita in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Dragons's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 23 minutes, Rubens Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Dragons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubens Teixeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Nilton Vasconcelos managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Terrorverde's Sydney Mesquita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Los Dragons's zone, Norberto Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilton Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Norberto Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, Los Dragons's goalkeeper Nilton Vasconcelos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sydney Mesquita. Sydney Mesquita succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 36th playminute. Nilton Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Melo in the 40th minute of the match. A collision led to Terrorverde getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Norberto Moraes hit a great ball. Nilton Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agenor Goiano in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubens Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Reinaldo Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Terrorverde's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinaldo Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilton Vasconcelos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sydney Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilton Vasconcelos having to interfere. Los Dragons's Nilton Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Mesquita in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute Reinaldo Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Vasconcelos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Sydney Mesquita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Terrorverde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Agenor Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilton Vasconcelos having to interfere. Norberto Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Nilton Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilton Vasconcelos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sydney Mesquita's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. When Davi de Barros came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Los Dragons fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davi de Barros couldn't finish the play. Nilton Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cauã Melo in the 75th minute of the match. Frank Araújo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davi de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After some careless play in the Los Dragons defense, Cauã Melo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nilton Vasconcelos. The Los Dragons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nilton Vasconcelos should have stopped the shot. Nilton Vasconcelos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sydney Mesquita's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. In the 99th minute of the match Zé Carlos Trigo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nilton Vasconcelos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Terrorverde fans cheered their team off the field, for while Los Dragons had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
