Antônio Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Jacinto EC's zone, Antônio Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Tasso came out of the goal and Antônio Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tapora EC's Gonçalo Vinhas in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ernesto Tasso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gonçalo Vinhas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Tasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Antônio Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Tasso having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antônio Branco was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Antônio Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernesto Tasso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gonçalo Vinhas went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Tapora EC's Joel da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandão Donatello in the 62nd minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Gonçalo Vinhas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tapora EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Ernesto Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Vinhas in the 76th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Antônio Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tapora EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antônio Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Tasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernesto Tasso came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Tapora EC's Antônio Branco. But to his dismay, Antônio Branco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Antônio Branco might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antônio Branco ran back to his position shaking his head. Ernesto Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Vinhas in the 84th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Gonçalo Vinhas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernesto Tasso made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Antônio Branco sent off a good shot on target. 97 minutes into the match, Jacinto EC's goalkeeper Ernesto Tasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antônio Branco. Tapora EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
