Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sérgio Loureiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Nestor Ceresso made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Bruninho Tande sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Xingu SS booed when Muana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 15 minutes, Zé Paulo Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xingu SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Paulo Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Paulo Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Pombal having to interfere. If Bruninho Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nestor Ceresso was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Sérgio Loureiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sérgio Loureiro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 25 played minutes Muana got a freekick which was hit by Váldson dos Santos. Nestor Ceresso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruninho Tande in the 27th minute. When Roberto Tavares fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Muana's protests and gave Roberto Tavares a yellow card for diving instead. Roberto Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Bruninho Tande's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Ceresso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Muana's Enrique Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo Freitas in the 37th minute of play. Muana's Faustão Abreu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 39th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Nestor Ceresso but with some difficulty. When Xingu SS's Zé Paulo Freitas in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Muana's goalie prevented a goal. Sérgio Loureiro succeeded in the game's 46th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Zé Paulo Freitas made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Zé Paulo Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xingu SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Paulo Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the match, Xingu SS's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Loureiro came free, but Nestor Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Xingu SS getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Glauco Carioca hit a great ball. Bruninho Tande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Bruninho Tande notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Xingu SS's Nestor Ceresso. Nestor Ceresso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sérgio Loureiro in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Ceresso saved Xingu SS from getting behind. Enrique Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubinho Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xingu SS's Nestor Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Loureiro in the 76th minute of play. Sérgio Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Augusto Reis during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th minute, João Augusto Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 played minutes Muana got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Loureiro. Xingu SS's Wilson Romero got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruninho Tande in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Ceresso saved Xingu SS from getting behind. Xingu SS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
