The audience was convinced that Davi Pimenta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Guilherme Trancoso was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Davi Pimenta sped through Avaré Futebol Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Guilherme Trancoso. Davi Pimenta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Guilherme Trancoso having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Palma's Cauan de Godoy got a free kick in the 35th minute. Gualter Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ricardo do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Palma booed when Avaré Futebol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Guilherme Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaltino Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gualter Marques made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Marques in the 52nd minute of play forced Palma's goalkeeper Ricardo do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmílson Mendes hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Avaré Futebol Club's Zé Pedro Coutinho got a free kick in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Palma eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
