Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Guga de Carvalho made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the game, Marau SS's Guga de Carvalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diguinho Fantini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Vladimir Vaz's late challenge caught a Marau SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimir Vaz helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes Esmeril EC got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Vaz. Diguinho Fantini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga de Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frederico Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleandro Quaresma having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Marau SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Arósio to maneuver through the defense. Aleandro Quaresma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvério Rocha in the 20th minute. If Silvério Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Marau SS's Horácio Lima got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Silvério Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esmeril EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvério Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleandro Quaresma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silvério Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 54th minute Frederico Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleandro Quaresma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 minutes of play, Marau SS's Luizão da Silveira made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diguinho Fantini was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 66thth minute of the game Silvério Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marau SS's Aleandro Quaresma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Silvério Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diguinho Fantini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guga de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. A hard shot 75 in the game by Luizão da Silveira from a close distance when the talented Diguinho Fantini managed to make a qualified save. Esmeril EC's players were relieved. Diguinho Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guga de Carvalho in the 76th minute of play. Luizão da Silveira took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diguinho Fantini. Diguinho Fantini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guga de Carvalho in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diguinho Fantini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nilmar Miranda hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match Osmar Tasso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diguinho Fantini showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Frederico Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horácio Lima during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luizão da Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Diguinho Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Marau SS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
