The audience was convinced that Vânderson Tavares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matheus Vale was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. A collision led to Meaipe EC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Sidney Paiva hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dráuzio Favoretto in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Costa saved Meaipe EC from getting behind. Juarês Alvarenga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Matheus Vale made a huge save. 18 minutes into the match, Ibitu's goal looked a bit too open when Vânderson Tavares came free, but Matheus Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Dionísio Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 22 minutes of play, Meaipe EC's Gilson Mota made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matheus Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! Matheus Vale came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Meaipe EC's Gilson Mota. But to his dismay, Gilson Mota quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Matheus Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vânderson Tavares in the 32nd minute of play. Ibitu's Matheus Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Ibitu from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the match, Vânderson Tavares notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Ibitu's Matheus Vale. Matheus Vale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luís Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinícius Pena in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute Jean Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Ibitu's Matheus Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson Tavares in the 77th minute of play. Gilson Mota charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilson Mota the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Meaipe EC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play.
