Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cássio Sousa started the match with the kick off. Rubinho Zonta took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Telmo de Brito. Telmo de Brito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Arí Abreu was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Orlando Saraiva capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Orlando Saraiva really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Piraja SS's zone, Orlando Saraiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arí Abreu came out of the goal and Orlando Saraiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute of the match, Orlando Saraiva tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arí Abreu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Arí Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Saraiva in the 15th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Piraja SS's Rubinho Zonta got a free kick in the 16th minute. Denílson Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Saraiva in the 18th minute of play forced Piraja SS's goalkeeper Arí Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th match minute, Piraja SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Piraja SS's goalkeeper Arí Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orlando Saraiva. In the 24th minute of the game, Elder Cavalcante landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Denílson Fontes's late challenge caught a Aramirim SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denílson Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. Aramirim SS's Reginaldo Bertassi was substituted for Elder Cavalcante. In the 26th minute, Denílson Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gilson Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Aramirim SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilson Paiva couldn't finish the play. Arí Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Donato, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Arí Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilson Paiva in the 44th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Saraiva to make the kick off. Orlando Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arí Abreu having to interfere. Arí Abreu came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Aramirim SS's Gilson Paiva. But to his dismay, Gilson Paiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After some careless play in the Piraja SS defense, Orlando Saraiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arí Abreu. The Piraja SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arí Abreu should have stopped the shot. Orlando Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute David Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arí Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Orlando Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Aramirim SS booed when Piraja SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orlando Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arí Abreu having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Christiano Paes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arí Abreu was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Piraja SS's Arí Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Saraiva in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute Orlando Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arí Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arí Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiano Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Orlando Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aramirim SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Saraiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arí Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aramirim SS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
