But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Cunha couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexsandro Quadros during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Cebolao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexsandro Quadros to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Cebolao's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Pena came free, but Arí de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arí de Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlinhos Pena's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After 30 minutes, Carlinhos Pena made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Cebolao's Arí de Brito tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to S A N D I N O FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Gilvan Quadros hit a great ball. After 38 minutes, Aírton Simão mouthed his way into the referee's book. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind S A N D I N O FC's goalkeeper Cauan Leme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Douglas Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Arí de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Pedro Peixoto made the kick off in the second half. Pedro Peixoto took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cauan Leme. Cauan Leme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. When Simão de Mendonça fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cebolao's protests and gave Simão de Mendonça a yellow card for diving instead. Simão de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Cebolao's Alexsandro Quadros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cauan Leme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Arí de Brito was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Douglas Cunha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Douglas Cunha really showed his touch with that goal: 3-4. Thanks to some nice moves Carlinhos Pena could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Arí de Brito however easily saved by the left post. 79 minutes into the game, Carlinhos Pena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-5. Arí de Brito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute of the match, Carlinhos Pena got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arí de Brito was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
