Benê Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cornicha AD's zone, Toninho Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Eduardo Negri came out of the goal and Toninho Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Frank Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cornicha AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 26th minute of the game, Toninho Mazza landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osmar Martins during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luís Eduardo Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséias Guerra in the 30th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Carlos Augusto Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Zé Roberto Jacinto came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Pedrinha EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Roberto Jacinto couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oséias Guerra to strike the kick off in the second half. Oséias Guerra struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Luís Eduardo Negri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pedrinha EC. 56 minutes into the match, Pedrinha EC's Zé Roberto Jacinto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Eduardo Negri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cornicha AD's goalkeeper Luís Eduardo Negri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Juninho Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Oséias Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Pedrinha EC fans jumped to their feet. Thanks to some nice moves Frank Azevedo could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Benê Figueiredo however easily saved by the left post. Luís Eduardo Negri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Augusto Amaral went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 96thth minute of the game Oséias Guerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cornicha AD's Luís Eduardo Negri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luís Eduardo Negri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oséias Guerra's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cornicha AD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
