Chiapetta AD's José Maria da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Clemente Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute Arthur Catarinense suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Ramón Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After having played for 13 minutes, Clemente Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chiapetta AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Schmidt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Chiapetta AD's Clemente Schmidt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardinho Prata narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomás Carvalho had great luck who in the 23rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Jorginho Mello from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Sílvio Antunes struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Tomás Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fojo. 1-0 became the score in the 25th minute when Jorginho Mello elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ricardinho Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Clemente Schmidt made a precise shot to the right of Ricardinho Prata. Fojo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ricardinho Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Schmidt in the 37th minute of play. Jorginho Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Tomás Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramón Mineiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorginho Mello in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 45th minute, Alessandro Rodrigues made a precise shot to the right of Ricardinho Prata. Fojo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorginho Mello to make the kick off. Ricardinho Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Rodrigues in the 58th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clemente Schmidt got free with Ricardinho Prata in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Clemente Schmidt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ricardinho Prata. That made the score 1-5 in the 65 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Alessandro Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chiapetta AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Alessandro Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardinho Prata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Fojo's Ricardinho Prata got control of the ball when Clemente Schmidt tried to sneak it across the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chiapetta AD reached it. Fojo's Jorginho Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilson Mazza charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilson Mazza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 played minutes Chiapetta AD got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Mazza.
