Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lucena Sport Clube's Genílson Pirani started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. raio fc's Eugênio Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genílson Pirani in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th match minute, raio fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Dante to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute Genílson Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, raio fc's goal looked a bit too open when Genílson Pirani came free, but Eugênio Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 14 minutes, Genílson Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lucena Sport Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genílson Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 15 minutes, Cristiano Vidal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the raio fc and the Lucena Sport Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes raio fc got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Vidal. Eugênio Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genílson Pirani in the 19th minute of the match. Nildo Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Alcântara in the 23rd minute of play. Nildo Oliveira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from César Toledo went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Nildo Oliveira came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by raio fc's Cristiano Vidal. But to his dismay, Cristiano Vidal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Eugênio Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genílson Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Genílson Pirani did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Eugênio Amaral 37 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Pirani in the 41st minute of play forced raio fc's goalkeeper Eugênio Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, Lucena Sport Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Paulo Vander to maneuver through the defense. The Lucena Sport Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. raio fc were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeremias Alcântara was the one to do the kick off. Téo Massa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Nildo Oliveira made a huge save. Reginaldo Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Eugênio Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genílson Pirani scored 3-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugênio Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eugênio Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genílson Pirani's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Nildo Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Nildo Oliveira made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Téo Massa sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute Genílson Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85thth minute of the game Genílson Pirani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but raio fc's Eugênio Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 86th minute Genílson Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sebastião Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90thth minute of the game Genílson Pirani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but raio fc's Eugênio Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Genílson Pirani in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugênio Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Genílson Pirani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugênio Amaral was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Reginaldo Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucena Sport Clube's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
