Alessandro Marinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Hílton Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Ian Dante fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Alessandro Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Os mostros porongaos's supporters rose to their feet, but Alessandro Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lenílson Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Os mostros porongaos's Hílton Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Alagoano in the 63rd minute of play. Waldemar Trevisan hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match.
