Evandro Costa did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Genílson Mumbach 35 minutes into the match. When Igor Zanette came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Ibitirama EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Zanette couldn't finish the play. Frédson Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flávio Bastos made a kick off. A collision led to Ibitirama EC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play.
