Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gonçalo Senna started the match with the kick off. When David Prata came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Lewishamilton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Prata couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lewishamilton fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! Jorge Zilles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marquinhos Tróia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toninho Silveira during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lewishamilton booed when Gerinaldo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toninho Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gonçalo Senna in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marquinhos Tróia saved Lewishamilton from getting behind. 19 minutes into the match, Gerinaldo's goalkeeper Rony Quirino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rômulo Ribeiro. If Gonçalo Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Zilles in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marquinhos Tróia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jorge Zilles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Jorge Zilles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, William Catarinense put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marquinhos Tróia. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rômulo Ribeiro got free with Rony Quirino in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 43 played minutes, Gerinaldo's Clemente Ramos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marquinhos Tróia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gerinaldo reached it. Clemente Ramos succeeded in the game's 47th minute to get real power on a long shot . Lewishamilton's Marquinhos Tróia hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-2! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rômulo Ribeiro was the one to do the kick off. Marquinhos Tróia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonçalo Senna in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the Lewishamilton defense, Gonçalo Senna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marquinhos Tróia. The Lewishamilton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marquinhos Tróia should have stopped the shot. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lewishamilton's goalkeeper Marquinhos Tróia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 59 minutes into the game, Gonçalo Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Marquinhos Tróia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Clemente Ramos hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The supporters of Gerinaldo booed when Lewishamilton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateus Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonçalo Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Marquinhos Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marquinhos Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Senna in the 74th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Antônio de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Senna in the 76th minute of play forced Lewishamilton's goalkeeper Marquinhos Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rômulo Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Lewishamilton's Basílio Galvão got a free kick in the 78th minute. It was beautiful to see Gerinaldo's Clemente Ramos in action when he in the 80th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 87 minutes into the match, Lewishamilton's Vitório Sabóia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rony Quirino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lewishamilton's Marquinhos Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Senna in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gerinaldo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
