When Ricardo Toscano came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Bezouro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Toscano couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Moraes in the 11th minute of play forced Bezouro's goalkeeper Fred Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caetano Moraes might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fred Barral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caetano Moraes ran back to his position shaking his head. Caetano Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Barral having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Bezouro's Ricardo Toscano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aloísio Alvarenga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edinho da Rocha charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, Ipuca AD's Edinho da Rocha got a free kick in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Toscano in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aloísio Alvarenga saved Ipuca AD from getting behind. If Caetano Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Delfim do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aloísio Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton Favoretto in the 38th minute of the match. The supporters of Ipuca AD booed when Bezouro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 minutes, Luiz Fernando Mazza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipuca AD and the Bezouro players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ipuca AD getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Luiz Fernando Mazza hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricardo Toscano to strike the kick off in the second half. Fred Barral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Mumbach's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Bezouro's Emílio Moreno got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute of the match Ademar Velasco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fred Barral skillfully saved the ball. Fred Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moraes in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caetano Moraes in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fred Barral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 69 played minutes Bezouro got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luiz de Barros. If Caetano Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Bezouro's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Moraes came free, but Fred Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Mumbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute of the match Ademar Velasco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fred Barral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bezouro's zone, Caetano Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred Barral came out of the goal and Caetano Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
