Norberto Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vítor Lucas in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute Edgar Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristóvão de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Manfredo Guimarães fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saracuru SC's protests and gave Manfredo Guimarães a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Saracuru SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hustks:s goal. The goalkeeper, Nuno Botelho, was totally fooled by Hustks's Luiz Guilherme da Cunha, who 33 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 38 minutes, Sydney Macedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saracuru SC and the Hustks players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hustks booed when Saracuru SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sydney Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Saracuru SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Minas Nentakis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Saracuru SC's Nuno Botelho got control of the ball when Minas Nentakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute of the match Tarcisio Correia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Norberto Mello showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The wind increased when Edgar Linares made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Saracuru SC's goal looked a bit too open when Minas Nentakis came free, but Nuno Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vítor Lucas in the 56th minute of play forced Hustks's goalkeeper Norberto Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristóvão de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Norberto Mello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saracuru SC. Cristóvão de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Mello having to interfere. If Edgar Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Guilherme da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. A collision led to Saracuru SC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Oswaldo Martins hit a great ball. Cristóvão de Amaral's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Norberto Mello firmly grabbed it by the left post. Evandro Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Cristóvão de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Norberto Mello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Saracuru SC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Linares came free, but Nuno Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Minas Nentakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Nuno Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hustks's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
