Spectators: 6655 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lino Leão got the match started through his kick off. An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Lino Leão got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pedro Augusto Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Lino Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abate EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lino Leão struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Pedro Augusto Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abate EC. After 25 minutes of play, Simplicio AD's Célio Alves made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cauan Gaspar was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Simplicio AD's Pedro Augusto Barreto got control of the ball when Allan dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Célio Alves in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cauan Gaspar saved Abate EC from getting behind. If Yan Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Simplicio AD getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Moisés Rocha hit a great ball. In the 44th minute of the match Abate EC got a corner. Simplicio AD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcos Duarte ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Abate EC's corner Wilton Barros fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Augusto Barreto quite easily take care of the ball. Jefferson Cordeiro took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Augusto Barreto. Pedro Augusto Barreto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Célio Alves made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Simplicio AD got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Rocha. If Lino Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Allan dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lino Leão struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Pedro Augusto Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abate EC. Allan dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Augusto Barreto having to interfere. If Lino Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cauan Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Alves in the 79th minute of play. Cauan Gaspar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Célio Alves's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Lino Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Pedro Augusto Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Allan dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Abate EC's Sandrinho Galvão got a free kick in the 90th minute. Abate EC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Simplicio AD to leave the ground with a draw.
