Jacinto Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Cruz in the 45th minute of the match. Tairucu FC's Gilvan Linhares got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, one of Guariroba:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Inácio Simão, was totally fooled by Tairucu FC's Agostinho Pernambucano, who 48 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leopoldo Cruz made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Leopoldo Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Guariroba's Jacinto Perez threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leopoldo Cruz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jacinto Perez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leopoldo Cruz's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Agostinho Pernambucano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Inácio Simão. Guariroba's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jacinto Perez was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Leopoldo Cruz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leopoldo Cruz really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Evandro Pontes hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Gilvan Linhares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Inácio Simão was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Guariroba had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
