Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dalmo Alcântara started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Felisburgo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Pedro Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Adelino Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, MONTES CLAROS F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Alcântara came free, but Thiago Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Gustavo Prestes during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Luís Gustavo Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cláudio de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Prado having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Bernardo Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. MONTES CLAROS F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Pedro Prado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Silva in the 40th minute of play forced Felisburgo SC's goalkeeper José Pedro Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of MONTES CLAROS F. C. booed when Felisburgo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. MONTES CLAROS F. C.'s Rubens Fontes was substituted for Chuck Mcjunkins. After a rather tough play, Felisburgo SC's Norberto Furtado got a free kick in the 44th minute. The wind increased when Bernardo Romero made the kick off in the second half. Dinei Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Pedro Prado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Bernardo Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. MONTES CLAROS F. In the 66th minute, one of Felisburgo SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Felisburgo SC. The referee gave MONTES CLAROS F. C. a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dinei Silva, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Felisburgo SC's José Pedro Prado. 0-1. Dinei Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmo Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Thiago Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute of the match Jefferson Coutinho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thiago Castro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Felisburgo SC's zone, Bernardo Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Pedro Prado came out of the goal and Bernardo Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Norberto Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Felisburgo SC's protests and gave Norberto Furtado a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Felisburgo SC booed when MONTES CLAROS F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enéas Aparecido in the 97th minute of play. After some careless play in the MONTES CLAROS F. C. defense, Dalmo Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Castro. The MONTES CLAROS F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Castro should have stopped the shot.
