With a little luck, Flapedreira Futebol Club's Wilson Moura got control of the ball when Jorge Batista tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aníbal Camargo during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute of the match, Davi Fonseca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wilson Moura saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 13 minutes into the match, Franca's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Cunha came free, but Pedrinho Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Franca's zone, Vitório Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrinho Barral came out of the goal and Vitório Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th match minute, Flapedreira Futebol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Túlio Mota to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Jorge Batista put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Wilson Moura. Pedrinho Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Cunha in the 30th minute of play. Túlio Mota hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Túlio Mota was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flapedreira Futebol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Franca the free kick. Jorge Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 45 minutes into the match, Flapedreira Futebol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Davi Fonseca came free, but Wilson Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute Benjamim Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Cunha in the 86th minute of play forced Franca's goalkeeper Pedrinho Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flapedreira Futebol Club's Wilson Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davi Fonseca in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the game, Jorge Batista landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 93 minutes, David de Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flapedreira Futebol Club and the Franca players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Flapedreira Futebol Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Franca:s goal. Davi Fonseca shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
