Uxx's Zé Pedro Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir do Valle in the 15th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sampaio Corrêa FC. Uxx's zone, Edmundo França stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Pedro Veiga came out of the goal and Edmundo França tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Pedro Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo França in the 21st minute of play. After 21 played minutes Sampaio Corrêa FC. Uxx got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Silveira. Percival Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Britto in the 28th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Sampaio Corrêa FC. Uxx's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Gaspar came free, but Zé Pedro Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Pedro Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir do Valle in the 36th minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, Andes SC's Vladimir do Valle made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Pedro Veiga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edmundo França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Pedro Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir do Valle in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute of the match Andes SC got a corner. Sampaio Corrêa FC. Uxx's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Arósio ran over to the corner to take the kick. After the first half Andes SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Vladimir do Valle made the kick off in the second half. Andes SC's Percival Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Britto in the 53rd minute of play. If Edmundo França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Eduardo Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andes SC's Percival Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Eduardo Santana in the 64th minute of play. Vladimir do Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Zé Pedro Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir do Valle in the 75th minute of play forced Sampaio Corrêa FC. Uxx's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Edmundo França came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Andes SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo França couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, Dudu Netto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Pedro Veiga was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Edmundo França struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Zé Pedro Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Andes SC. Vladimir do Valle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Pedro Veiga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Andes SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
