Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt made the kick off which started today's match. If Angelo Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Ricardo Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Occidente AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agnaldo Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leopoldo Alves hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Arruda in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josué Quadros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by César Marinho during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Occidente AD booed when Penha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Ricardo Souza fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 15 played minutes, Occidente AD's Tony Godoi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Agnaldo Catarinense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Occidente AD reached it. Paulo José de Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Agnaldo Catarinense made a huge save. After 20 minutes, Ulisses Cerezo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Occidente AD and the Penha FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 20 played minutes Occidente AD got a freekick which was hit by Ulisses Cerezo. Josué Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Occidente AD's Josué Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, César Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Josué Quadros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Josué Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt in the 29th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Agnaldo Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Paulo José de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Agnaldo Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo José de Brito in the 62nd minute of play forced Penha FC's goalkeeper Agnaldo Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Josué Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulisses Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Josué Quadros acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Claudinho Mello. Agnaldo Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo José de Brito in the 70th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Ricardo Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Occidente AD's zone, Angelo Arruda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Quadros came out of the goal and Angelo Arruda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Josué Quadros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Penha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Souza came free, but Agnaldo Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Josué Quadros to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Penha FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
