Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The supporters of Penha FC booed when Deodoro SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Eduardo Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, César Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 12 played minutes, Deodoro SS's Gilberto Sampaio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Agnaldo Catarinense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deodoro SS reached it. Angelo Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Juarês Fantini made a huge save. Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Penha FC's Angelo Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If César Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Angelo Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th match minute, Penha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredinho Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Deodoro SS's Oscar Porto got a free kick in the 40th minute. Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Deodoro SS booed when Penha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Juarês Fantini managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Penha FC's Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt made a kick off. After some careless play in the Deodoro SS defense, Angelo Arruda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juarês Fantini. The Deodoro SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juarês Fantini should have stopped the shot. When Penha FC's Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deodoro SS's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Arruda in the 61st minute of play forced Deodoro SS's goalkeeper Juarês Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Claudinho Mello almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deodoro SS's Juarês Fantini did a great save. In the 64thth minute of the game Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deodoro SS's Juarês Fantini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Gustavo da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo da Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 66 minutes into the game, Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Juarês Fantini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 70 minutes, Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juarês Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt in the 72nd minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Deodoro SS got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Alvarenga. Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo da Costa in the 78th minute of play forced Deodoro SS's goalkeeper Juarês Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Juarês Fantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penha FC. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deodoro SS's goalkeeper Juarês Fantini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juarês Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Marinho in the 83rd minute of play. Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Juarês Fantini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penha FC. Penha FC's attack was well implemented in the 87th minute, but when Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Tadeu Macedo's late challenge caught a Penha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeu Macedo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Tadeu Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juarês Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Bittencourt in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Deodoro SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeu Macedo to maneuver through the defense. Penha FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
