After having played for 47 minutes, Flavinho Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mattosinhos EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavinho Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Mattosinhos EC's Pedro Augusto Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gláuber Ramalho in the 53rd minute of play. Otávio Correia's late challenge caught a SÃO PAULO 2010's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavinho Cardoso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Fernão Alves in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kaká Guerra, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 78 minutes of play, SÃO PAULO 2010's Jarbas Veloso made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Augusto Monteiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Flavinho Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Guerra having to interfere. After 84th play minutes Fernão Alves shot 1-6, a short shot which went by Kaká Guerra and just under the crossbar into goal. Fernão Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mattosinhos EC's Fernão Alves in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
