Spectators: 6641 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) Pontes FC's Paulinho da Rocha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Pontes FC's Renatinho Medeiros got a free kick in the 4th minute. Zacarias da Rocha struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Luiz Gustavo Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piratuba. Duda Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Gustavo Catarinense having to interfere. Paulo Vergílio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Gustavo Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Piratuba were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Pontes FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Duda Moreira took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Duda Moreira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luiz Gustavo Catarinense quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 29 minutes, Zacarias da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piratuba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacarias da Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Piratuba's Zacarias da Rocha got a free kick in the 31st minute. The supporters of Pontes FC booed when Piratuba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramos Diego didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Augusto Couto sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Piratuba's Ramon Enmanuel didn't even have to move. Duda Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zacarias da Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Gustavo Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Pontes FC's Luiz Gustavo Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duda Moreira in the 40th minute of play. Luiz Gustavo Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duda Moreira in the 42nd minute of the match. Zacarias da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Luiz Gustavo Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adelino Vianna's late challenge caught a Piratuba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adelino Vianna helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Piratuba booed when Pontes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zacarias da Rocha made a kick off. Duda Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Luiz Gustavo Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramon Enmanuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho da Rocha in the 56th minute of play. Duda Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Gustavo Catarinense having to interfere. Piratuba's Zacarias da Rocha was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 63rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Paulo Vergílio struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Luiz Gustavo Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piratuba. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Juninho Salgado put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Pontes FC a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Augusto Couto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Piratuba's Ramon Enmanuel. 1-2. After 75 played minutes Piratuba got a freekick which was hit by Ramos Diego. After recieving a nice pass, Pontes FC's Augusto Couto tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Pontes FC's Luiz Gustavo Catarinense got control of the ball when Duda Moreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Duda Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Luiz Gustavo Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Vergílio in the 84th minute of play forced Pontes FC's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pontes FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Duda Moreira was slow to take the kick. During this time Piratuba's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Piratuba's corner Duda Moreira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luiz Gustavo Catarinense quite easily take care of the ball. Tarcisio Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Gustavo Catarinense having to interfere. Duda Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Luiz Gustavo Catarinense made a huge save. Luiz Gustavo Catarinense was a little too slow when Duda Moreira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 1-3. If Duda Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Pontes FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Piratuba were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
