He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gil AD reached it. José Carlos Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juvenal Romero's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juvenal Romero was the one to do the kick off. When Dedê Campidelis came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Gil AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedê Campidelis couldn't finish the play. Rosaria's José Carlos Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Rosaria from getting a goal against them. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rosaria's goalkeeper José Carlos Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gil AD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
