Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Laginha EC's goalkeeper Silas França had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdo Pontes. Richard Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Valdo Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Maracai's zone, Belchior de Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Rocha came out of the goal and Belchior de Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Cristiano Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maracai's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silas França breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Valdo Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 17 minutes of play, Laginha EC's Belchior de Senna made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Rocha was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the game, Raphael Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laginha EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maracai the free kick. After 24 played minutes Laginha EC got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Amorim. 29 minutes into the match, Valdo Pontes notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Laginha EC's Silas França. Silas França was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Laginha EC booed when Maracai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Maracai's Silas França threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristiano Meirelles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Benê Penha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silas França. Laginha EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The wind increased when Cristiano Meirelles made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Maracai's Valdo Pontes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silas França narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
