A collision led to Ouro Verde EC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Rubens Toledo hit a great ball. Mangaratu SC's Gabriel Matos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Mangaratu SC from getting a goal against them. Gabriel Matos was a little too slow when Benjamin Ferraz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. If Rubens Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Benjamin Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ouro Verde EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Ferraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rubens Toledo struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Gabriel Matos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ouro Verde EC. 28 minutes into the match, Mangaratu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Ferraz came free, but Gabriel Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubens Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Matos having to interfere. Kléberson de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Guerra in the 32nd minute of the match. Rubens Toledo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 36th playminute. If Benjamin Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago de Amaral lost his temper 46 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ouro Verde EC! Delfim de Barros walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mangaratu SC's goalkeeper Gabriel Matos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Benjamin Ferraz came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Ouro Verde EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Ferraz couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Ouro Verde EC booed when Mangaratu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vivaldo Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Benjamin Ferraz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ouro Verde EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 70th minute, Rubens Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamin Ferraz scored 4-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gabriel Matos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Mangaratu SC's zone, Benjamin Ferraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Matos came out of the goal and Benjamin Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Eriberto Guerra fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mangaratu SC's protests and gave Eriberto Guerra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th minute, Eriberto Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Ferraz struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Gabriel Matos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ouro Verde EC. After 83 played minutes Mangaratu SC got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo Santana. Gabriel Matos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rubens Toledo went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Gabriel Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubens Toledo in the 90th minute of the match. Eriberto Guerra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kléberson de Castro came out and tried to block the shot, but Eriberto Guerra slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 93rd minute. After having played for 97 minutes, Benjamin Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ouro Verde EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Ferraz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Ouro Verde EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
