Nilson Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Sergipano in the 37th minute of the match. Didi Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Bastos having to interfere. The Jequitahy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PEREBA FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Marcus Cavalcante made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play PEREBA FC's Marcus Cavalcante was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Alfredo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilson Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Didi Sergipano might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nilson Bastos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Didi Sergipano ran back to his position shaking his head. When Romário do Valle was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. Alfredo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro Souza in the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Evandro Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Jequitahy's goalkeeper Nilson Bastos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Didi Sergipano. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. PEREBA FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
