After some careless play in the Arapongas defense, Claudinho Varela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dinei Branco. The Arapongas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dinei Branco should have stopped the shot. Joa SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Ernani Galvão scored to the left of an out of position Cipriano Zonta, making the score, 1-1. Leonardo Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonardo Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute João Pedro Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Hélder Tróia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Joa SC's Hélder Tróia got a free kick in the 24th minute. Arapongas's Leonardo Barral got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cipriano Zonta made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Leonardo Barral sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Willian Moraes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cipriano Zonta was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The supporters of Arapongas booed when Joa SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Barral struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Cipriano Zonta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arapongas. In the 31st minute, Willian Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonardo Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Cipriano Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, Arapongas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fábio Custódio to maneuver through the defense. When Arapongas's Willian Moraes in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Joa SC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 41st minute, Arapongas's Vivaldo da Mata dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Willian Moraes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cipriano Zonta came out and tried to block the shot, but Willian Moraes slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Pedro Figueiredo to make the kick off. Hélder Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cássio Saldanha during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Arapongas getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Cássio Saldanha hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Arapongas's goal looked a bit too open when João Pedro Figueiredo came free, but Dinei Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Joa SC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Barral came free, but Cipriano Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Barral in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cipriano Zonta saved Joa SC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vivaldo da Mata during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vivaldo da Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Valério Veloso sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Dinei Branco threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Valério Veloso this time. Arapongas's Ernani Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Barral in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cipriano Zonta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonardo Barral scored 5-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cipriano Zonta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Arapongas's Leonardo Barral in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Joa SC's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee ended the match the Arapongas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
