An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulisses Tavares in the 30th minute of play forced Cajamar EC's goalkeeper Fellipe Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fellipe Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulisses Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Monteiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fellipe Koehler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. The supporters of Joanico booed when Cajamar EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrício Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joanico's Armando Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Ulisses Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

João Paulo Madureira's late challenge caught a Joanico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Cajamar EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Madureira to maneuver through the defense. If Armando Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Fabrício Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cajamar EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joanico the free kick. Fabrício Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Ulisses Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fellipe Koehler having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cajamar EC's Marcos Simão got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Ulisses Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fellipe Koehler made a fantastic save in the 100th minute, when Armando Monteiro sent off a good shot on target.
